Ok, ok. NEAT stands for:
NEAT is all movement you do, that isn't planned exercise.
ONE- WALKING THE DOG
For example, you might plan to go for a run, which isn't NEAT. But getting extra steps in by walking further to your car, or taking the stairs instead of the escalator, IS!
Also, you might walk your dog, I'm sure your fur-baby would LOVE to help you get your NEAT up!! This is my fur-baby. His name is Flash Gordon.
I haven't seen him in a year because I am in Japan and he is back home in London, England. Thanks, COVID19!
TWO- PACING AROUND THE HOUSE OR THE OFFICE
NEAT might also be pacing while you are on the phone!
THREE- HAVING A GOOD OL' WIGGLE
It might even be dancing in the shower!
FOUR- SWAPPING SITTING FOR STANDING
I like to use a standing desk to work - like this one on amazon- so I can keep moving!
FIVE- BEATING YOUR STEPS GOALS DAILY
I also keep my Galaxy watch on so I can keep an eye on my step count. This is a great way of ensuring you are keeping moving! I freaking LOVE this watch!!
SIX- CLEANING THE ENTIRE HOUSE
Not only will your house be spotless, you will have moved ever-closer to your fitness goal.
Two for the price of one!
Getting your NEAT up can have a huge impact on your goals.
If you haven't heard of the business term, 'marginal gains', it basically means in business that you make tiny changes, and when they accumulate the gains can be great!
The same applies here.
So... Get your NEAT up!!!
